Lesson Audit-5/1/2015

This lesson we rehearsed and blocked up till the points in our piece that we had got up to during our previous lesson. We spent the first hour of our 3 hour session going through this. After the conclusion of the first hour we were split in to two different groups in which we would create our own ensemble piece on tales 6 and 7. My group was directed to create a piece for tale 6 which I thoroughly enjoyed. At first I feel that we were working as a group of actors trying to create a scene together but still however were not working in a manner of in which other actors would consider to be an ensemble. I believe this is because due to the excitement of composing this new unexplored scene, we all had different interpretations, ideas and visions regarding how the group should perform the scene and what messages the scene should convey to the audience. After we had all agreed on and established how one actor would perform his first few lines, the director came in to help us to further develop the scene and in doing so aided us to learn to work as an ensemble company as we quickly realized this form of collaboration allowed the piece to flow naturally.
