Lesson Audit-27/2/2015

Lesson Audit

Lesson-27/2/2015

I believe this lesson greatly empowered and helped to solidify the high quality of our final performance near the end of term. This lesson was mainly dedicated to exploring the "weaknesses" and defects in our ensemble piece and how in which we could remedy them. This lesson encouraged us to further our understanding and personal views in what message that we wanted to convey to the audience not only as individual actors through each of our characters, but as an entire ensemble. We also rehearsed in our groups for tales 6 and 7 in which the director helped us to thoroughly structure our pieces and decide on the atmospheres that we would like to create in our tales and the best ways in which to do so, all the while still maintaining the high level of intimacy with the audience that we started of at the beginning of the piece and that the thrust stage setting strongly strengthens. I feel that this lesson helped me to improve my feelings and mindset of an ensemble piece in which the entire company created. I am certain of this because at the earlier rehearsal periods of our the piece, I was far more intent on furthering my understanding of my own character's role in the piece and the message that I wanted to convey alone as an actor.
